Student Fee Review Board

The Student Fee Review Board (SFRB) is a student committee consisting of undergraduate and graduate students that meets every year to determine how approximately $12 million in student activity fees should be allocated to various organizations and resource centers on campus. Revenue generated by these fees is used to support a variety of student activities that enhance the academic and intellectual environment at UNM. Everything from Popejoy Hall to SHAC is currently funded through student fees, making the SFRB process a crucial component to the success of UNM.

Due to recent financial changes at the University, there has been a significant decrease in working funds to allocate to the different organizations and resource centers. We also expect more applications this year for SFRB funds. Therefore, we urge applicants to be mindful of their requested funds and cognizant that units are unlikely to receive an increase in funds from the previous years.

Student Forums
The Student Forums for SFRB will be held Thursday, October 15, 2020, from 11AM-1PM, and Monday, October 19, 2020, from 11AM-1PM. This is a great opportunity for students to learn more about how their fees are spent, and to voice their support or objections to funding decisions related to student fees.
